Description

Macau Wynn Palace is a luxury integrated resort and casino on Cotai Strip, the Macau Special Administrative Region of China. It opened on 22 August 2016 with 1,706 guest rooms, suites, and villas, large gaming and retail areas, and a faux lake attraction of entertainment. Fashioned by Wynn Resorts Limited, the Wynn Palace is poised as a posh luxury resort that utilizes accommodation, gambling, shopping, dining, and entertainment all under a single roof.

Design & Architecture Features

Macau Wynn Palace was designed on a 51-acre (=210,000 m²) site on a reclaimed parcel in the Cotai region, and built with a total constructable floor area of approximately 450,000 m 2. The architecture of the resort applies the overriding floral motif to both the interior (designed by floral designer Preston Bailey) and exterior (large-scale artworks, Chinese antiques, and allusions to luxury resort designs). Its outside signature elements are the 8-acre Performance Lake with choreographed water, light, and music shows.

Accommodation, Retail and Dining & Entertainment Facilities

The resort has 1,706 rooms, suites, and villas, and the luxury retail space is about 9,800 m 2 (which in other sources is roughly 107,000 sq ft), featuring boutiques like Chanel, Hermes, Chopard, etc. It has 13 + dining locations (fine dining and casual restaurants), including the Wing Lei Palace, SW Steakhouse, Mizumi, and Sichuan Moon. The entertainment service is expanded into the spa the largest in Macau), pool, salon, meeting/convention venue, and the attraction-filled Esplanade to do shopping and leisure.

Gaming & Resort-Scale Impact

Macau Wynn Palace also has approximately 39,000 m 2 (420,000 to 468,000 sq ft) of casino gaming table space (some reports vary slightly, 420,000 to 468,000 sq ft) and slot machines, personal gambling salons, and a full-scale gaming house. The resort was a big project, the highest estimated value was over US $4 billion, and a big investment of Wynn in the Cotai market of Macau, where integrated resorts comprise hotel, gaming, entertainment and retail.
